CDM 2015 Principal Designer

Under the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations 2015 (CDM 2015), the Principal Designer plays a key role in ensuring health and safety is embedded into a project from the outset.
At Ikonic Architecture, we take on this responsibility with a practical and proactive approach, ensuring designs are safe to construct, use, and maintain.

Our role as Principal Designer includes:

-
Risk Management – Identifying and mitigating health and safety risks during design and construction.
-
Compliance with CDM 2015 – Coordinating with clients, contractors, and designers to meet legal obligations.
-
Health & Safety Documentation – Preparing and maintaining the Pre-Construction Information (PCI) and ensuring the Health & Safety File is in place.
With hands-on experience in construction and traditional building methods, we understand the practicalities of site work, ensuring that designs are not only aesthetically and functionally sound but also safe and compliant.
